No trip to Singapore would be complete without an exotic food trip. Fortunately, my beautiful friend and tour guide, Laureen, works there as a chef. As soon as I arrived, during one of my recent trips, she immediately — immediately! — took me to the Newton Hawker Center for a late dinner of fried rice, squid deep-fried in cereal flakes, grilled stingray smothered — and I mean smothered — in sambal (chili paste), and a Milo Dinosaur. Not the best combination for my sensitive stomach, but a festival in my mouth!
As if that wasn’t enough of a treat, there was this personalized Mozza pizza, topped with prosciutto and arugula, which Laur made especially for me!
